School links established with:

• Great Sankey Primary School
• Penketh Primary School

Further links are being developed with St Vincent’s and Penketh South.

Eagle Coaches (FA1/2 qualified) coordinating training sessions for above schools.

Eagle Junior F.C has assisted Sankey Primary School with their successful Charter Standard application.

Coaching sessions are very well attended by children of all ages.

Coaching in the two named schools is on-going and has been very successful in developing a close working relationship with them.

Development of Eagle Junior F.C website

Eagle Junior F.C has a revised website at www.eaglejfc.co.uk . This is further to re-development after previous server problems. The web site has a full time web site manager.

Development of Eagle Junior F.C starter pack

Achieved

An Eagle Junior F.C Starter pack has been produced and was distributed to all junior members. Future new starters will receive the same starter pack which contains all the clubs rules and regulations/codes of conduct

Revision of documents is ongoing as is addition of new policies etc.

To set up girls team.

Ongoing

A female coach has been identified who has volunteered to develop a girl’s team alongside this season’s (2007/08) under 10’s team. Sarah Green has successfully completed her FA 1 training badge

Continue to develop “entry level” teams at Under 6 age group

Eagle Junior F.C U6’s have a dedicated FA1 qualified coach who works hard to develop both the children and parents towards running their own team at the U7 age group.

The U6’s have a growing number of children who attend at this age group.

Further development of Volunteers through coaching programmes.

Eagle Junior FC currently have:

25 FA1 qualified coaches

And 2 FA2 qualified coaches

Many coaches have attended LCFA training courses and are currently in the process of applying for various FA Coaching Memberships.

Organised FA1 coursed via development officer.

Continued screening of volunteers

All coaches have to submit a volunteer application form with references from appointed referees

Phase 1 is now complete for CRB checks and the process is being rolled out to new coaches and further volunteers.

Phase 2 CRB checks will be rolled out to include assistant coaching staff.

Development of exit routes for all players to the next level.

Achieved

All coaches are responsible for ensuring that each child is assessed for their capability to progress to the next age group. We now have an under 16’s team in the Warrington Junior League (season 2007/08). Progression through to Under 17’s/Open age is supplemented by this additional year at Junior level.

Under 16’s now remain under the Eagle JFC banner.

Standardisation of kit

Achieved

Eagle JFC now conform to a standardised kit through a named supplier (Harrison Sportswear).

Development of Youth players onto refereeing course

Ongoing

Several players from the older age group now possess their refereeing badge and have regularly refereed matches in small sided games.

Development of Youth players onto entry level

All U15 players are offered the opportunity to develop their coaching skills on an approved FA1 coaching course.

Eagle JFC 5k Race

We now have 2 successful 5k events under our belts and it is hoped to retain this as an annual event.

Two successful events have already been held and received glowing praise. This event is now established as an annual event in conjunction with Eagle JFC and Local schools (particularly Penketh |Primary)

Integration into Eagle Sports Club

Membership for all Junior members/Coaches to Eagle Sports and Social Club. Involvement with development of club/grounds via Council grants to improve facilities.
