Penketh & Sankey District Schools Challenge Football competition 2008

For the last three years, we at Eagle JFC are pleased to have worked with Penketh Community Primary School to bring football, through an annual schools tournament, to those children in the local community who do not normally get the opportunity to play football. During those three years it was clear that there was a something missing for those children that do play football regularly but do not get the chance of the pride of representing their school and so with a lot of thought this competition was born.

Question. What do you get if you have 1 field, 2 pitches, 10 schools 170 kids, 6 refs, 6 Eagle JFC coaches, a smattering of very able assistants and 6 footballs?

Answer. One heck of a day’s football.
